Boyne Thunder 2026
The Boyne Thunder Poker Run is a 150-mile charity run through Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan, headquartered at the Boyne City Marina to benefit Camp Quality and Challenge Mountain. The event features the “Stroll the Streets” boat show in downtown Boyne City on Friday night, followed by a multi-stop run with a lunch break at the Charlevoix City Marina.
Beyond the water, visitors can hike the Avalanche Preserve for panoramic lake views or visit Young State Park for its public beaches and trails. The area is also home to Boyne Mountain Resort, which offers the SkyBridge Michigan and the Avalanche Bay indoor water park for those staying off the lakefront.
