Feadship ICE BEAR exits Fort Lauderdale
The Feadship superyacht ICE BEAR, launched in 1988, is a 52-meter (170.6-foot) luxury motor yacht built by the renowned Dutch shipyard Feadship De Vries. With exterior styling by De Voogt Naval Architects and interior design by Paola D. Smith, Icebear is a blend of classic elegance and engineering excellence. The yacht has a beam of 9.3 meters (30.5 feet) and a gross tonnage of 614 GT. Powered by two Caterpillar 3512 TA engines, each generating 1,175 hp, the yacht can reach a top speed of 16 knots and cruise comfortably at 13 knots, with a transatlantic range of around 4,850 to 6,300 nautical miles depending on cruising speed.
Icebear accommodates 10 guests in five luxurious cabins, including a full-beam master suite on the main deck. The yacht also houses a crew of 11 to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service. Despite its age, Icebear has undergone refits, including a notable one in 1995, maintaining its vintage charm while integrating modern comforts.
